Gingko

Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba):

This is an ornamental tree in this part of the world.  They are often planted along roadways and in parks.  There are girl trees and boy trees.  The girls, of course, make the fruit. This tree is well represented in the fossil record and was thought to be extinct by Western paleontologists until the middle of the twentieth century when it was found growing in central China.

It is a bright green in summer and bright yellow in the fall.
