Hey Everyone, great news! We have an update on the Juvenile Grey Fox who was admitted into New England Wildlife Center’s hospital a few weeks ago. For those of you who are just tuning in, this fox came to us after being found near his mother who was killed by a car. Too young to be on his own he was cared for by a concerned party before being brought to us. He was tired and in need of a good meal. We monitored his condition, and paid close attention to any signs of illness. He has since cleared all his tests and gotten much stronger. He is growing quick and the next part of his treatment is for him to begin learning just how to be an adult. To this end, we have paired him up with a local wildlife rehabilitator who specializes in canid species. There he will have a good space to run and act as he should, all while learning how to be an adult from older, more mature foxes. He will need more time before he is ready to be released back to the wild, but he is headed in the right direction. His prognosis is good!

We are also very much in need of towels, If you have any spare hand towels, bath or beach towels we can use them to provide a nice place for our wild animals to hide and warm themselves.. or of course to clean the many messes they make. We could not do this without the support of those who believe in our mission, Thank you so much 🙂
