Oh, what a night! Thank you to everyone who turned out for a Night of a Thousand Faces! You raised $29,000 to help wildlife and provide science education – the most ever! Thank you to the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Obery Street Farm for the pumpkins! Thank you to WZLX for being here! Thank you to our neighbors, to Rick Curtis for supporting us with parking for 13 years, to North River Collaborative for busing folks, to the Lottery and Granite Academy for joining our parking angels, to Mass Sign in Rockland for providing free parking signs, to students at South Shore Charter School who carved 200 pumpkins! and to carvers young and old who carved 600 more, to new and old volunteers who baked cookies, sold cider and stamped hands. Thank you to the Norfolk County Sheriff’s work crew for readying our facility and grounds. Your hard work and talent went above and beyond and we are so grateful. Thank you to Ramshakle for the music and dancing, and Dianne for the belly dancing. Thank you to Eddie Page and the Next Page Restaurant for donating a popcorn machine and to John Spofford for donating a popcorn machine! They were wildly popular. Last, but far from least, thank you to New England Wildlife Center staff and interns who made this event happen. Nina Flaherty lead coordination and execution of the event with the zeal, energy and attention to detail that she brings to everything she does. Dr. Lisa Trout single handedly made hundreds of designer pretzels dipped in chocolate and rice crispy treats, Mary Ann again whipped up cotton candy (it’s not halloween until Mary Ann is covered in pink sugar!) Thank you to Jack for leading parking, which was no small feat and involved two cruisers and a couple of buses. Thank you to Zak and Harry for manning the trail and to everyone who made the trail run. Thank you Sharon, Kristen, Jean and Nicole for manning the money. Kristen survived her rookie “Night” year! Thank you to Tyler for the most excellent of spooky trails. Thanks to all the spookers! Thank you to all the “families of” that supported your loved ones and the Center. It took all of us and all of you to make this event a success.
