New England Wildlife Center’s rehabilitation course is back, and better than ever! Make sure to read on, as many things have changed since the last class in 2016.

The Center now offers two courses, The Introduction to Wildlife Rehabilitation Methods Course, and the Wildlife Rehabilitation Methods Course. You MUST take the Introduction to Wildlife and pass the final exam with a 70% in order to take the Wildlife Rehab Methods Course.

Spring 2017 – NEWC Introduction to Wildlife Rehabilitation Methods Course

6:30 – 8:30 PM Mondays, February 13th, Feb 20th and Feb 27th

This three session introductory course will give students basic knowledge about wildlife identification, natural history of common species, rules and regulations of wildlife rehabilitation, and definitions of wild, native and naturalized animals. This class is being offered as a pre-requisite to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Methods Course and is designed to prepare students for the entrance exam on February 28th.

New England Wildlife Center Rehab Entrance Exam

6:00 – 7:00 PM February 28th

This year we will have a short entrance exam for the Wildlife Rehabilitation Methods Course. Students must pass this exam with a 70% in order to participate this semester. This exam is not meant to discourage anyone; however this class supposes some prior knowledge of wildlife rehabilitation (as listed above). We encourage beginners to sign up for the introduction course which covers all of the necessary background material.
